Bella and Gigi Hadid’s sisterly bond has reportedly strengthened even further after a tense incident involving their mother, Yolanda Hadid, and Gigi’s ex-partner, Zayn Malik. According to a source close to the family, “Gigi and Bella have grown closer since the Zayn and Yolanda incident.
Bella has stuck by her side, as the situation has caused a lot of tension within the family.”
In September of this year, Zayn Malik faced legal trouble as he was charged with four counts of harassment following an alleged physical altercation with Yolanda, leading to “mental anguish and physical pain” for her, as stated in court documents.
The source revealed, “Gigi is done with Zayn. She’s a really private person, so Bella has really been there to support her. It’s been tough on all of them because they’re all so close. That’s her mom, but it’s still her baby’s father, even though their romantic relationship is over.”
The incident has taken a toll on Gigi and her family, putting stress on their relationships. The source concluded, “This has not been easy on Gigi and has caused a lot of stress on relationships with her family.”
Earlier reports had indicated that both Bella and Gigi’s relationship with Malik had been damaged, especially Bella, who was once close friends with her niece’s father.
“Bella has had a huge rift with him, as does [her brother] Anwar [Hadid],” a source stated in early November. “They hate what he has done to their sister.”
In October, Malik pleaded no contest to the charges, despite denying any physical contact with Yolanda. On Twitter, he expressed his frustration with the situation, writing, “This was and still should be a private matter, but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.”
In another statement, Malik continued to deny the allegations, expressing hope that Yolanda would reconsider her false allegations and address their family issues privately.
